How Does It Work?
To confirm your identity, you may be asked for a security code after you log in. This ensures it’s really you accessing your account and helps protect your personal information and FlipGive funds.
When does this happen?
When you try accessing your FlipGive Wallet, Gift Cards, Payouts, or Account Settings for the first time, you will be prompted to set up 2-factor authentication. During this process, you will be asked to input your phone number. We will then send a security code to that number to verify your account.
If you've already set up 2-factor authentication, you will simply receive the security code to re-verify your account.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I need a mobile phone to set up 2-factor authentication?
No, you don't need a mobile phone to receive one-time security codes. You can also use a landline and receive your code by voice message.
How can I update my 2-factor authentication phone number?
To update the phone number used for your 2-factor authentication, you'll just need to go to your profile in your account settings and update your phone number there. Please note that you will need to re-verify your account with your existing 2-factor authentication phone number before you can change it.
How often will I be required to use 2-factor authentication?
Once you have set up your 2-factor authentication, you will only need to re-verify your account if any of the following applies:
if you use a new device you haven't verified with 2-factor authentication yet
if you decide to change your account phone number
if you haven't used your account in 6 months
if you uncheck the "Don't ask again on this device" checkbox
Why isn't my phone number or verification code working?

your phone number is already in use on another FlipGive account
