Disable Ad Blocking Software
Ad blockers block us from sending your shopping trip information from FlipGive to the retailer, so we can't track eligible orders for Cash Back.
Certain browser extensions and browsers may stop FlipGive from tracking a shopping trip. Some ad blockers like AdBlock, Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin and browsers like Brave, DuckDuckGo, Opera etc. may cause this issue.
If your ad blocking software is turned on, you may see the following prompt when trying to shop on FlipGive:
To successfully shop on FlipGive, follow the instructions below to disable your ad blocker temporarily then click the "Retry after disabling ad blocker" button as per the above screenshot.
Whitelist FlipGive On Ad Blocking Extensions
If you wish to use your ad blocker extension on your browser you can add a custom filter to let it work with FlipGive. Common ad blocking extensions like AdBlock, AdBlock Plus, AdGuard, and Ghostery have options to set these filters to allow FlipGive to track properly while still protecting you from ads you don't wish to see.
AdBlock
For AdBlock, go to Options > Filter lists, then copy the Whitelist URL https://www.flipgive.com/static/cashback-shopping-whitelist to the Custom Filter Lists text box and click Subscribe:
AdBlock Plus
For AdBlock Plus, go to Options > Advanced > + ADD FILTER LIST VIA URL, then copy the Whitelist URL https://www.flipgive.com/static/cashback-shopping-whitelist to the text box and click ADD A FILTER LIST. Click UPDATE ALL FILTER LISTS to make sure it's set:
AdGuard
For AdGuard, go to Options > User rules, then click on this link https://www.flipgive.com/static/cashback-shopping-whitelist and copy the contents of the page and paste it into the text box and click Save:

If you're having trouble with the whitelisting process, you can also follow the steps below to pause the ad blocker during your shopping trip.
Pausing Any/All Other Ad Blockers
To ensure we track your Cash Back, we recommend that you disable your ad blocker completely during your shopping trips, and then re-enable it after you're done. This can be done easily in your browser settings by right-clicking the extension, clicking "Manage Extension", and then toggling the extension off from the settings page.
For more information on how to manage your extensions:
Disable Other Rewards/Coupon Browser Extensions
Some shopping toolbars like Honey can redirect the credit to another website, keeping you from earning Cash Back from FlipGive. If you have any toolbars installed, check whether they are linked to any other shopping rewards or coupon sites.
Please turn these off when you start shopping with FlipGive. They may redirect your shopping trip from FlipGive and take credit for your order preventing you from earning Cash Back.
Use Supported Web Browsers
FlipGive is best viewed in Chrome, Edge or Safari. Due to the number of third-party browsers available, we cannot verify that any outside of the ones mentioned will work appropriately with the FlipGive program. Make sure you have the latest version of the browser installed.
We also recommend avoiding using a browser’s “Private Browsing” or “Incognito” feature at any point in the shopping process as this can render your purchase ineligible for Cash Back.
Disable Mobile Ad Blockers & Use Supported Mobile Browsers
Content blockers and certain browsers on your mobile device block us from knowing where you’re shopping, so we can’t activate Cash Back.
Some ad blockers like AdBlock, Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin and browsers like Brave, DuckDuckGo, Opera, etc., may cause this issue.
To make sure Cash Back is activated, we recommend that you either shop with the FlipGive App or your Chrome browser or disable your content blockers while shopping.
To disable content blocking on your iOS device:
Go to Settings and select Safari
Select Content Blockers
Turn off all content blockers
Start your shopping trip from FlipGive again to make sure Cash Back is activated
When you’re done shopping, you can follow these same steps and turn on your content blocker.
Disable Other Apps That Can Block Cash Back
Security software
Kaspersky or other protection software may block the tracking "cookies" FlipGive uses to enable Cash Back for your order. If you are using this type of software, you will need to ensure that it is set up to allow cookies from FlipGive and our partner sites. Similarly, if you are using a firewall such as Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security or another Firewall, then you need to keep the "Ad Blocking" turned off.
Firewall Software
If you are using Zone Alarm or Norton Internet Security, please turn off ad blocking when you start shopping with FlipGive.
Spyware or Adware
Spyware/Adware can cause your online shopping to be reported as having come from another website. There are many free detection, removal, and protection programs you can download online to help you check for and remove spyware or adware.
VPN
We recommend disabling your VPN while shopping since FlipGive cannot guarantee your Cash Back will be activated.
Network-level traffic blocking tools
For tools like Bitdefender and Pi-hole, try going to the settings of your software and create an exception for FlipGive.com.
